Anatomy of woman and its sex appeal – A detailed view
February 18th, 2017 by Dr.Senthil Kumar

Anatomy of woman and its sex appeal

Every woman has a beautiful body-beautiful because it is the brilliant creation of millions of year of evolution. It is evolved with amazing adjustments and subtle refinements that make it the most remarkable species on the planet. We have presented the biological aspect of a particular part of the female body. Also some of the modifications. It is an absorbing voyage of discovery into the complexity of the female body and its sex appeal.

An Intimate organ

Our ears appear to have acquired a new erotic function with the development of soft fleshy lobes. These are absent in other animals and appear to be a uniquely human feature, evolved as part of our increased Sexuality. Early anatomists dismissed them as functionless: a new feature which apparently serves no useful purpose, unless it is pierced for the carrying of ornaments; but recent observation of sexual behavior have revealed that during arousal the earlobes become swollen and engorged with blood. This makes them unusually sensitive to touch. Caressing, sucking and kissing of the lobes during lovemaking acts as a strong sexual stimulus for many women. In rare instances, according to Kinsey and his colleagues at the institute of Sex Research in Indiana, a woman may even reach orgasm as a result to stimulation of her ears.

The Nose Ahead

Nose contacts have always been rare in social contexts. Only between lovers in private was the nose offered more general touches in the western world.

During lovemaking, nuzzling, nose pressing and nose kissing have always been common, but they have been developed outside the context of sexual intimacy. The rubbing movements are normally reserved for the erotic encounters.

Read the lips

  • Human lips are unique in the animal world. They are turned inside out.
  • Young females treat their lips as a new kind of signal – a strongly sexual one. She moistens them, pouts them, blows kisses with them and decorates them. Even before she has placed them on her first lover’s mouth, they will have played a major part in her feminine presentation.
  • Lips are visually sexual because they are mimics of the female’s other lips (the ones so intensely sexual) in shape, texture and color, popularly called labia.
  • When the female becomes sexually aroused, her labia becomes reddened and tumescent. At the same time, on her face, her lips also become swollen redder and more sensitive. These changes occur in unison, as part of the physiological upheaval that accompanies extreme sexual arousal. One of the key factors in this process is a shifting of blood from the deeper organs to the surface. The skin of the sexually active individual glows and shines as the tiny blood vessels become distended with an increased blood supply. This extra blood arrives more quickly than it can depart and, as a result, the body surface becomes more and more sensitive to touch. This is especially true of the lips. The distended blood vessels also make the lips and the labia more conspicuous, their increased redness contrasting more and more with the surrounding flesh.
  • In a recent survey of the ten most important contact points on a woman s body (for a man to touch during foreplay); the number one female erogenous zone was named as the lips.
  • It is worth pointing out that, because of the very high face sensitivity of the female lips, their application to different parts of the male body during sexual foreplay and lovemaking is less altruistic than it may seem. According to Kinsey, some women may even be able to arouse themselves to the level of orgasm during prolonged bouts of mouth – to – mouth deep kissing, and this can occur despite the absence of any kind of genital contact.
  • A few women may also be able to achieve orgasm when applying their lips to the male phallus. The female may appear to the involved purely in servicing the male and arousing him, but so refined are the nerve – endings in the mucous membranes of the everted female lips, that every touch they make on a loved one’s body also sends back powerful stimuli to their owner.

The Scented Moments

Technically known as the axilla, this small hairy zone plays an important role in chemical signaling and reflects a major change in the sexual habits of the human beings.

Females possess more of these scent glands than males and odors produced differ between the sexes, suggesting that they operate as sexual signals between amorous partners.

Indeed, recent experiments have revealed that blindfolded men become more sexually aroused by sniffing female armpit sweat than by smelling expensive commercial perfumes.

These armpit scent glands are called apocrine glands and their secretions are slightly oilier than ordinary sweat. They do not develop until puberty, when the arrival of sex hormones activates them and at the same time causes the growth of armpit hair. The hair acts as a scent trap, keeping the glandular secretions within the axillary region and helping to intensify their signal.

Recent research has shown that the armpit secretions of males and females differ chemically in several ways and have odor appeal specifically directed at the opposite sex. The male’s secretion is said to be mukeir, within the male hormone androsterone playing a significant role. However, in its pure, fresh from neither male nor female secretion is easily detected consciously by the human nose. They appear to act at an unconscious level, leaving us feeling stimulated but not knowing quite why?

The Exceptionally Feminine

Skin of the female neck is sensitive to gentle caresses and kissing it softly can arouse the female partner during sexual foreplay (giving us the term “necking”), but beyond that it is not credited with much importance.

Thee moons of Paradise

The breasts are the perfect happy medium, a taboo zone, but one that is not too shocking. In their sexual role the female breast, operate first as visual stimuli and then as tactile ones. Even at a great distance they are normally sufficient to distinguish the silhouette of the adult female from the male. At a closer range this crude gender signal gives way to a more subtle age indicator.

Once the visual signals of the female breast and her other physical and mental charms have attracted a male partner and sexual contact has begun, the tactile qualities of the breasts come into play. In precopulatory sequences there is often a great deal of oral and manual caressing of the breasts by the male. This excites the male even more than the female and it is possible that a special additional stimulus is operating here. The brown patches of skin around the nipples contain glands that secrets a fatty substance during lactation. This is claimed to be a soothing lubricant for the over worked skin of the nipple region and there is no reason to doubt this. But the fact that the glands of the areolar region are, in origin, apocrine glands suggests that during sexual activity the nipple zone of breast of the female may actually transmit scent signals to the male nose. Apocrine glands are the nose responsible for the special sexual fragrance of the armpits and the genital regions, and although males are not consciously aware of the erotic odour these glands produce, their secretions do make a massive unconscious impact that aids sexual arousal. The areola glands may well be part of this primeval odour signaling systems, which may explain why male exploring their partner’s bodies spend so much time nosing around in mammary zone.

As sexual arousal mounts the female chest undergoes several marked changes. The nipples become erect, increasing in length by up to centimeter. The breasts themselves become engorged with blood, increasing their overall size by up 25 percent. This turgidity has the effect of making their whole surface more sensitive and responsive to the body-to-body clasping of the mating partner.

With the approach of orgasm two further changes occur. The areolar patches become tumescent and swell so much that they start to mash the nipples, giving the false impression that the strongly aroused female is actually losing her nipple erection. There also appears a strange measles like rash over the surface of the breasts and elsewhere on the chest. It is mostly likely to occur during the moments immediately before orgasm in both sexes. This is called “sex flush’.

Many individuals of both sexes never display the “sex flush’ despite vigorous sex lives full of orgasmic experiences.

Support and seduction

  • The female waist is smaller than that of the adult male. One of the key gender signals in identifying the adult human female is the hour glass shape of her torso. This silhouette is defined by a special feature of the female body – its slender waist.
  • This narrowness of the waist is partly due to the broad features above and below it the protruding breast above and the wide, child bearing hips below.
  • The usual way of expressing the”waist indentation’ of a body is to give it as a simple waist to hip ratio. The figure deemed attractive for an adult female is 7:10; for a male 9:10. The difference between these two figures is remarkably resistant to cultural changes.
  • Today women, largely free of waist constraints, have an average waist measurement of about 28 inches.  Young women specially selected for their slender beauty, such as models, beauty pageant contestants and magazine pin-ups, have an average waist measurement of about 24 inches. Modern female athletes, selected for pseudo masculine muscular strength rather than beauty, have thicker waists averaging 29 inches.
  • Of course, to appreciate the “contour value’ of these figures they have to be related to the bust and hip measurements above and below them. It is the relationship between these three sizes that gives the all important “waist indentation’ factor of the typical female silhouette.
  • A carefully selected beauty pageant contestant will have perfectly balanced contour, with identical bust and hip measurements. Typically, a beauty queen will measure 36-24-36 inches. A skinny fashion model, of the kind favored by modern countries is more likely to measure 30-24-33 inches. Such a model may have an exquisite face and make an elegant clothes peg, but she will lack the hourglass contour that appeals to the primeval eye of the sexual male.
  • In a recent experiment, a row of life sized, cut out female silhouettes of varying proportions was set up in a shopping mall and adult males who were passing by were asked to indicate which one they most liked. The vast majority selected the one with curvaceous, waisted, balanced proportions. The verdict of these randomly selected males clearly supports the view that a “waist indentation’ factor is still important. It is too deeply ingrained in the male psyche to be swept away by modern cultural attitudes.

An Undeniable Beauty

A woman can, however, bend, stiffen, arch, slump or wriggle her back as her mood change. Body tension caused by mental anguish and anxiety can lead to prolonged strain on the back muscles. Eventually they begin to ache and this causes even greater anguish, which causes backache and so on, until a doctor is needed. This process often taken place almost unnoticed at the first and may be initiated by emotional problems that preoccupy the brain so much that side effects are ignored until it is too late. Another cause of backache, it has been claimed, is sexual frustration and greatly increased sexual activity has sometimes been suggested as a cure.

Symbol of Maturity

  • The emergence of their first public hairs, just above the external genitals is with the arrival of puberty. Usually this happens between the ages the eleven and twelve, although in rare cases it may start as early as eight or be delayed until fourteen.
  • In typical cases, between the ages of twelve and thirteen, there is darkening and thickening of the public hair. Then, between thirteen and fourteen, the quantity of public hair increases and starts to form a triangular shape. By the age of fifteen, the growth of this hair is usually more or less complete and it now resembles the adult pattern.
  • In different parts of the world, there is considerable variation in the type of female public hair, from short to long, from spares to dense, and from straight and soft to wiry and curly. Also, in colour and texture, the pubic hair does not always match the head hair.

Why do women have it? What does it do?

  • First and foremost, the display of the pubic hair is a visual signal. In primeval, naked times, it would have acted as a signal indicating that a growing girl is now a sexual adult. To a prehistoric male, the absence of pubic hair in younger girls would also have been an important signal telling him that they are too young to breed. The presence of visible pubic hair would have helped to trigger his sexual response, while its absence would have inhibited it.
  • A second function of pubic hair is to act as scent-trap. Skin glands in the genital region secrete special pheromones – natural scents that adult males unconsciously find sexually attractive and their fragrance persists longer in the densely curly hair than on smooth skin.
  • But today, with tight clothing enclosing the pubic region, it is all too easy for a lack of hygiene to lead to a bacterial decay of the scent gland secretions. The result is an unattractive body odour.
  • A third function of pubic hair is that it supposedly acts as a buffer between the skin surface of the adult male and female during vigorous sexual contact, protecting the female moans pubis from abrasion. There may be an element of truth in this protective role argument.
  • But the modern female, who has had her pubic hair removed does not appear to suffer unusually from its absence, when her body his being subjected to a thrusting male pelvis.
  • Some argue that pubic hair acts as “modesty concealment
  • The sexual appeal of public hair removal has three sources. The first is that removal of the pubic hair lays bare the vertical genital slit and transmits an even more powerful visual signal than the tuft of hair itself, to a watching male.
  • The second is that the hairless condition transmits a signal of virginal innocence. It is the body image of a girl too young to have sex and therefore, symbolically, too young to have had sex.
  • Finally, the advantages of the removal of female pubic hair. The genital region becomes much more sensitive to tactile stimulation. In particular, the pleasures of oral sex are greatly increased for both partners.

The Genitals

No other part of the female body is so sensitive of touch during sexual encounters, whether from the male fingers, lips, tongue or penis. The special design of the male‘s penis is significant in this respect. Compared with the penises of other primates, the human organ is most unusual.

It lacks an os-penis-the small bone that click into position to provide monkeys and apes with a rapid erection. Instead, it relies on vaso congestion to achieve erection. This is a system that, when sexual arousal occurs, allow blood to enter the penis more rapidly than it can leave. This not only stiffens the penis but it also greatly increases its length and especially, its width. The result is that, when it is inserted into the female’s vagina, it puts pressure on the vaginal walls and the labia. This pressure creates a strong erotic response in the female, permitting her to share a male’s mounting sexual excitement as copulation proceeds.

The thick male penis causes powerful contact sensation as it moves against the surface of the female genitals, during the often lengthy pelvic thrusting.

The female orifice, surrounded by its highly sensitive folds of skin, is subjected to repeated, rhythmic massage by the tightly fitting penis. As female sexual arousal gradually grows, both the outer labia and the inner labia become engorged with blood, swell to twice their normal size and develop greatly increased sensitivity to touch.

After prolonged stimulation the female eventually experiences an orgasmic climax that is physiologically very similar to that of the male.

The vaginal passage is a tube of flesh about 3-4 inches in length when not in a state of sexual arousal. With sexual excitement it expands, to a length of 4-6 inches.

Sexual Hot Spots

The female genitals has four sexual hotspots. These are small zones of heightened erotic sensitivity, the stimulation of which during the mating act helps to bring the female nearer to an orgasmic condition.

The Clitoris

This is the best known female genital hot spot, located at the top of the vulva, where the inner labia join at their upper ends. The visible part is the small, nipple sized, female equivalent of the tip of the male penis, and is partially covered by a protective hood.

Essentially it is a bundle of 8000 nerve fibers, making it the most sensitive spot on the entire female body. It is purely sexual in function and becomes enlarged (longer, more swollen, more erect) and even more sensitive during copulation. During foreplay it is often stimulated directly by touch, and many women who do not easily reach orgasm purely from vaginal stimulation find it easier to climax from oral, digital or mechanical stimulation of the clitoris.

The visible part is simply a tip of clitoris, the rest of its length – its shaft lying beneath the surface and extending down to surround the vigorously by the movements of the inserted penis. There will be some degree of clitoral stimulation, even when the tip is not touch directly. The clitoral shaft is, however, less sensitive than the exposed tip, so that direct contact with the tip will always have a greater impact on female arousal.

Vaginal Hot Spots

The U-Spot:

  • Recently American research workers, investigated, the erotic potential of a small patch of sensitive erectile tissue located just above and on either side of the urethral opening. It is absent just below the urethra, in the small area between the urethra and the vagina.
  • Researchers found that if this region was gently caressed, with the finger, the tongue, or the tip of the penis, there was an unexpectedly powerful erotic response.

The”G”Spot:

  • This is a small, highly sensitive area located 2-3 inches insides the vagina, on the front or upper wall.
  • Named after its discover, a German Gynecologist called Ernst Grafenberg, it is sometimes romantically referred to as the Goddess Spot. According to Grafenberg, G-spot is a primary erotic zone, perhaps more important than the clitoris. He explains that its significance was lost when the ‘missionary position’ became a dominant feature of human sexual behavior. Other sexual positions are far more efficient at stimulating this erogenous zone and therefore at achieving vaginal orgasm.

The recent marketing of ‘G-spotter’ attachments for vibrator is in much demand.

The A-Spot:

  • The existence of Anterior Fornix Erogenous zone (AFE zone) was reported by a Malaysian physician in Kuala Lumpur as recently as the 1990’s. Its true location is just above the cervix, at the innermost point of the vagina.
  • This is patch of sensitive tissue at the inner end of the vaginal tube between the cervix and the bladder, described technically as the ‘female degenerated prostate’.
  • The cervix of the uterus is the narrow part that protrudes slightly into the vagina, leaving a circular recess around itself. The front part of the recess is called the anterior fornix.  Pressure on it produces rapid lubrication of the vagina, even in women who are not normally sexually responsive.
  • It is now possible to buy a special AFE vibrator – long thin and upward curved at its end, to probe this zone.
  • Student of female sexual physiology claim that if these four erotic centers are stimulated on rotation, one after the other, it is possible for a woman to enjoy many orgasm in a single night. It is pointed out, however, that it takes an extremely experienced and sensitive lover to achieve this.

Unspoken Messenger

The erotic value of legs has long been recognized.

The first and perhaps most obvious sexual connection lies in the way they are joined to one another. Every time a woman moves her legs, open them, closes them or crosses them tightly, she inevitably draws attention to the point where they meet – which is, of course, the focal point of male sexual interest. It is almost as if, inside the deeper recesses of male mind, a pair of female legs acts as an arrow, pointing at the sexual” promised land of the female crotch.

To sum up, female legs are sexually exciting

  • Because the point where they meet is the focus of male erotic attention.
  • Because their varying postures, from wide open to tightly crossed, suggest erotic preoccupations.
  • Because the degree of covering with clothing permits erotic exposure of hidden flesh.
  • Because their smooth curves emphasize feminine body shapes, and
  • Because accelerated limb growth at puberty permits longer legs to transmit signals of sexual readiness.
